<p>Isolated fractures of the humeral trochlea in children are extremely rare intra-articular injuries. If overlooked or treated inadequately, they may result in functional impairment and growth disturbances of the elbow joint. Only a&#xa0;few case reports of this injury have been published in the literature. Open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of the joint fracture is mandatory. Fixation with thin resorbable pins is preferable in order to avoid a&#xa0;second surgical procedure for hardware removal requiring a&#xa0;renewed ulnar approach.</p>
