Digitale Gesundheitsanwendungen und videobasierte Therapieansätze
摘要
Digital health applications (DiGA) and video-based therapy platforms are gaining increasing importance in orthopedics and trauma surgery. They enable structured home exercise programs, teleconsultations, and objective functional assessments, thus, serving as relevant complements to established care models. Evidence indicates that video-based rehabilitation programs can achieve clinical outcomes in selected indications that are not inferior to conventional in-person programs. However, limitations remain regarding long-term outcomes, user acceptance, interoperability, and data protection. In shoulder and elbow surgery, video-based approaches open up new opportunities, particularly in postoperative rehabilitation and the structured monitoring of patient-reported outcomes.
