Diagnostik und Therapie osteoligamentärer Verletzungen des Sternoklavikulargelenks
摘要
Sternoclavicular (SC) joint dislocations account for only about 3% of all shoulder girdle injuries. This is usually caused by high-speed trauma in traffic or sports accidents. Due to its low incidence, this injury is often overlooked and represents a challenge for surgeons due to the lack of routine and the low incidence.
ObjectivesIncidence and diagnosis of injuries to the SC joint as well as corresponding treatment methods are presented.
MethodsAs part of a case study, this review presents a surgical option for treatment of an acute unstable extra-articular medial clavicle fracture.
ResultsSatisfactory results can be achieved with both conservative and surgical therapy.
ConclusionInjuries to the SC joint are very rare. Correct diagnosis is crucial for treatment. Due to the proximity to neurovascular structures, SC joint injuries can be potentially very dangerous. Both surgical and conservative approaches should aim to achieve a stable joint situation.
