Inverse schaftfreie Schulterprothesen

Due to various advantages, in terms of bone preservation, reduced invasiveness and operating times, stemless prosthesis designs are increasingly being implanted. Furthermore, reverse shoulder arthroplasty is also growing worldwide. The first stemless reverse shoulder prostheses designs were developed as early as 2002. Today, surgeons performing shoulder surgery have access to numerous of different stemless reverse designs and various reverse implant systems, some of which have a convertible platform. This article provides an overview of the indications, limitations and results of currently available stemless reverse shoulder replacement systems and highlights critical issues.
