Vaporization Processes and Thermodynamics of Phase Equilibria in the CdO–In2O3 System

Vaporization processes in the CdO–In2O3 system have been studied by Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry in the temperature range of 938–1138 K. The incongruent character of the spinel CdIn2O4 sublimation was established. The temperature dependences of the partial and total pressures of the vapor species in different phase regions of the system were determined. The standard enthalpies of sublimation and formation of CdIn2O4 were obtained. A p–x-section of the phase diagram of the CdO–In2O3 system at 1080 K was constructed.
