摘要

The main criterion in sliding contact mechanisms of various industrial components is tribological properties such as wear rate and coefficient of friction (COF). In this study, 27 sliding wear tests based on Taguchi's L27orthogonal array (OA) were performed, and the results were analysed using grey relational analysis (GRA). The effects of applied normal pressure, rotational speed, and time duration on frictional force, COF, and wear rate were investigated. To determine contribution of percentage of the selected parameters of process and their interactions with one another, analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used. Finally, grey relational grade (GRG) determines the optimum parameters for minimum COF and wear. Finally, confirmation experiments were performed to validate the optimization technique for output parameters.
