Innovative Research on a New Type of Comprehensive Inspecting Gauge for Multiple Variable Diameter Shifting Forks

The shifting fork of the vehicle gearbox, as a key component in the vehicle shifting mechanism, has strict requirements for dimensional and positional errors. In response to the limitations of existing detection techniques in detecting the machining quality of the shifting forks of the vehicle gearbox, this paper designs a new type of comprehensive inspecting gauge for multiple variable diameter shifting forks of vehicle gearbox with a simple structure and convenient use. Its originality lies in its radial expansion mechanism to change the measurement radius of the shift fork, thereby achieving simultaneous detection of multiple test items for the shifting fork groups of different radial sizes, so as to solve the problem of existing comprehensive inspection tools being unable to achieve batch detection of the shifting forks during on-site production and manufacturing processes. Through experimental verification and application in practical products, the results indicate that the novel comprehensive inspection gauge is characterized by high detection efficiency and good accuracy, achieving the functionality of one machine for multiple purposes, and has great practical and innovative value. And it follows that it serves as a good reference value and practical guiding implications for the subsequent adaptability improvement of the shifting fork of the vehicle gearbox.
