Microstructural and Thermal Deformation Behaviors of Ni51Fe18Ga27Co4 Shape Memory Alloy
摘要
The thermal deformation behaviors and orientation evolution of compressive deformation in the Ni51Fe18Ga27Co4 alloy were investigated by Gleeble and electron backscatter diffraction. We explored the impact of varying temperatures on the mechanical properties and microstructure of the alloy during deformation. The flow stress of the Ni51Fe18Ga27Co4 alloy decreased with increasing temperature, eventually reaching a stable state. The strain rate sensitivity m of the alloy increased with the raised temperature, which indicated that the plasticity of the alloy increased with the incremental temperature. It is believed that the change in Gibbs free energy influences the change in martensite lath orientation under compressive deformation at different temperatures.
