A Multiaxial Fatigue Life Evaluation Method Considering Stress Field Effect for Notches
摘要
The tension–torsion fatigue experiments were carried out on the smooth and notched specimens for compacted graphite cast iron. By analyzing the multiaxial stress distribution for the notched specimens, a multiaxial fatigue life evaluation model considering the stress field effect is put forward on the basic of the critical plane method and theory of critical distances (TCD). The numerical calculation method of damage parameters is proposed in order to apply the present model to the three-dimensional structure. The evaluation ability of present method is assessed and verified by the experimental data of compacted graphite cast iron, LY12CZ aluminum alloy and Al-Si alloy. The present method has a high accuracy, and that is convenient for the practical application due to the clear path and concise method.
