摘要

In present study, Al/MLG/CuO/ \({\text{Bi}}_{2}{\text{O}}_{3}\) Bi 2 O 3 nanothermite is prepared using physically mixing and ultrasonication method, incorporating varying amounts of MLG (multi-layer graphene). X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirmed phase stability of constituents during synthesis. Scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) revealed uniform distribution of MLG. Raman spectroscopy confirmed structural stability of MLG. The exothermic energy release and thrust-time characteristics of the prepared nanothermite were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry and force-time sensors. The results demonstrated that at 2wt.% MLG in the nanothermite formulation, maximum values of exothermic energy and specific impulse were observed at 180 J/g and 60.3 s respectively.
