Prediction Model of Cavitation Accumulation Period of Duplex Stainless Steel Overlay Layer

In order to estimate the cavitation accumulation period of duplex stainless steel under cavitation erosion, the fracture mechanics method is used to deduce the fatigue crack propagation life based on the cavitation process by combining the exponential distribution and Bernoulli probability model, and the prediction equation of the cavitation accumulation period is given. Duplex stainless steel was prepared by tungsten inert gas welding powder surfacing method, ultrasonic cavitation test was carried out, and the cavitation accumulation period was calculated by using the prediction equation. Comparing the predicted values with the experimental values, the results are basically in good agreement, but there are some errors because the cavitation erosion model does not consider the microfluidic velocity and crack fusion.
