摘要

The present work aimed to study the corrosion behavior of ZK60 magnesium alloy coated with graphite oxide, using silane (APTES—3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane) and chitosan as coupling agents. The surface chemistry and morphology were studied by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, potentiodynamic polarization, and scanning electrochemical microscopy were employed to evaluate the electrochemical behavior of the graphite oxide-coated alloy. The graphite oxide coatings covered the magnesium substrate, forming interlocked layers. The electrochemical tests showed that the coatings protect the substrate, acting as a corrosion barrier. The graphite oxide-chitosan composite coatings presented the most protective effect.
