摘要

The polarization properties of electromagnetic waves have gradually become a hot research field. Research on uniform polarization states (linear polarization, circular polarization, etc.) under traditional techniques is almost complete, and researchers have begun to pay more attention to the generation methods and application fields of nonuniform polarization states. As a typical nonuniform polarization state, vector light can be generated by traditional optical methods, but the optical path design of the generation method is complex and requires many devices. The development of metasurface research provides more possibilities for replacing traditional optics with integrated optics to generate vector light. At present, the research on metasurface-generated vector light mainly focuses on its substitution, improvement, and functionality, specifically: designing metasurfaces that can replace the traditional optical part of the optical path, metasurfaces with higher design efficiency, and metasurfaces with more design functions. We focus on the traditional methods of vector light generation and the methods of using metasurface generation.
