摘要

This paper investigates the effects of nano-dome anti-reflective coatings (ND-ARC) and nano-cone anti-reflective coatings (NC-ARC) on the optical characteristics of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). By applying anti-reflective coatings on an OLED substrate surface, the glass–air interface reduces reflections, thus boosting the light intensity. The finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation approach and Fresnel theory were leveraged to model the OLEDs and to study the effects of ND-ARC and NC-ARC on the glass–air interface. To enhance parameters such as thickness, refractive indices, pitch, and anti-reflective coating layer height, the Fresnel principle was used. The numerical calculations show that the coupling efficiency of the ND-ARC-coated OLED is improved compared to that of the NC-ARC-coated OLED. The analysis was conducted to observe the effect of various wavelengths on far-field intensities.
