Electrode-Specific Analysis of Electrochemical Reaction Onset in Molten Slags Using a Triple-Electrode Modified Double Hot Thermocouple Technique
摘要
A triple-electrode technique was incorporated into the modified double hot thermocouple technique to analyze electrochemical reactions in molten slags. CaO–Al2O3–SiO2 and CaO–SiO2 slags showed nonlinear voltage–current behavior depending on slag composition and temperature. Half-cell potential measurements against a Pt pseudo-reference electrode enabled separate evaluation of anodic and cathodic responses and estimation of apparent reaction onset potentials. The technique provides an experimental basis for analyzing polarization behavior and reaction onset in molten slags under high-temperature conditions.
