Effect of Differential Flow Blowing Argon and Nozzle Position on Mixing Time and Slag Eye in Dual Nozzle Ladle Using Water Model Experiment
摘要
Established a 1/4 water model experimental system to study the mixing phenomenon and slag eye during ladle refining process. On the basis of traditional equal flow bottom blowing method, differential flow bottom blowing methods with different flow ratios were proposed, the optimal bottom blowing ratio that minimizes mixing time and slag eyes area was founded, and the optimization effect of differential flow bottom blowing method on mixing time and slag eyes area at various angles and eccentricities was verified. The results indicate that the mixing time is the shortest in most cases when using the bottom blowing method with a differential flow ratio of 2:1 when the angle is within 135 deg, after 2:1, the mixing time increases with the increase of bottom blowing ratio, and the mixing time in single nozzle is the longest in almost all cases. The influence of nozzle angle on slag eyes area is greater than that of eccentricity. The differential flow bottom blowing method can significantly reduce the slag eyes area, and the bottom blowing ratio that minimizes the slag eyes area is 4:1. However, the fluctuation degree of slag eyes area will increase with the increase of bottom blowing ratio.
