Diagnostik des biliären Karzinoms
摘要
Biliary tract cancers, comprising cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) and gall bladder carcinoma (GBC), arise along the biliary tract, express markers typical for the biliary tract and are the second most frequent primary liver malignancy. The incidence of CCA is increasing and most cases are in an incurable stage at the time of diagnosis. Biliary tract cancers are classified according to their anatomical localization and histological presentation. Unlike hepatocellular carcinomas, there are no definitive imaging criteria that enable a radiological diagnosis, and histological confirmation of the diagnosis is necessary. Tumor tissue sample collection can be challenging depending on the location, and the differentiation of inflammatory and malignant biliary duct strictures remains difficult despite advanced options in endoscopic procedures, such as cholangioscopy. As CCAs often contain genetic alterations which are amenable to targeted treatment, molecular diagnostics has become important in the palliative situation.
