<p>In this interview in the journal <i>Zeitschrift für Psychodrama und Soziometrie</i> psychotherapist and psychodrama director Berndt Kühnel shares his experiences in the Auenweide housing project, an eco-social community in St. Andrä-Wördern (Austria). He describes the project’s organization according to sociocratic principles, the alternative financing model as well as the potentials and challenges of communal living. From a&#xa0;psychodramatic perspective, Kühnel views Auenweide as a&#xa0;stage of diverse roles and demonstrates how methods such as role reversal, doubling, and enactments can support clarification and the further development of the community.</p>
