<p>Recent PISA studies have revealed discrepancies in performance between male and female students. These disparities can also be found in other school outcomes, which can be attributed, among other things, to gender stereotypes that can be found in various school contexts. Teachers play a&#xa0;crucial role regarding stereotypes. It is evident that teachers have internalized various stereotypes, which are discussed in this article. These gender stereotypes have the potential to influence teaching and assessment, with both positive and negative consequences for the students. The present article provides an overview of existing research and identifies possible intervention approaches and desiderata. In conclusion, a&#xa0;comprehensive overview is provided, addressing the issue of teachers’ gender stereotypes.</p>
