Zur Bedeutung von Feedback für das Belastungserleben von Schüler:innen vor und während des Distanzunterrichts
摘要
Constructive feedback by teachers is not only beneficial for the well-being of learners in face-to-face teaching but is also considered a psychological resource for dealing with stress in distance learning during the COVID-pandemic. Feedback from students to teachers also has the potential to be beneficial but has not yet been researched in distance education. However, regular positive interactions between teachers and students seem to be particularly important during challenging times (e.g., the COVID pandemic). Mixed-effects models, based on a sample of N = 1432 Austrian secondary school students, show that (1) the higher amount of teacher feedback can reduce students’ retrospectively assessed stress during distance learning, but (2) students’ ability to give feedback is unrelated to it. This underlines the importance of regular teacher feedback for students’ well-being, not only, but especially during challenging times.
