<p>The article conceptualizes reflective supervision as a&#xa0;field focused on improvisation, addressing the double contingency of human interactions. Human actions are viewed as potentially creative, beyond theories that focus instrumental rationality. The concept of improvisation is first clarified and situated within action theory. It is then linked to creativity. The contemporary workplace is described as a&#xa0;sphere that, due to flexibilization and subjectivation, demands new, improvisational forms of action. Supervision processes are subsequently understood as improvisations that reflect on other improvisations.</p>
