摘要

Only when participants engage in transfer, diversity trainings can contribute to a positive diversity climate in the workplace. This interview study (N = 16) examines how participants of diversity trainings, provided by the State of Berlin’s Office for Antidiscrimination, initiate and experience transfer. The result is a typology of four transfer experiences: the Role Models, the Appointed, the Co-Responsibles and the Lone Fighters. Critical for these distinctions are participants’ perceived opportunities to use diversity competencies in the workplace, colleagues’ and supervisors’ support and resistance, and workplaces’ learning culture. The typology’s theoretical and practical contributions are discussed.
