Spaziergang in die Zukunft der Altenpflege: Wie Robis die Lebensqualität von Oldies verbessern könnten

There is a severe skill shortage regarding elderly care. This negatively affects organisations, personnel, care recipients, and their relatives and thus requires innovative solutions. In professional practice a concrete demand for robots accompanying elderlies on going for walks arose. Addressing this demand, we here describe the necessity of this invention for elderly care from a business-psychology perspective. Also, the potential benefits of such a robot, a selection of use cases, obstacles to the introduction as well as necessary developmental steps are described. Finally, we appeal to practitioners to support the technological development.
