The article examines how what can be said in organizations shifts in silence practices. The context is the phenomenon of power abuse and staff violence against children and young people with disabilities in residential care. Using a case study, it is discussed how violent actions can be reinterpreted in professional storytelling and in the team documentation. It becomes clear how, in such practices, silence about violence can be established effortlessly in organizational routines and practices for years. The article ends with a summary of the findings and reflections on the challenges for supervision in hidden constellations of violence in organizations.
