Der zentrale Einfluss von Vorgesetzten auf die Arbeitsgestaltung von Zahnmedizinischen Fachangestellten – eine ethnographische Fallstudie
摘要
This article published in the journal “Gruppe. Interaktion. Organization (GIO)” is based on a questionnaire to analyse work activity characteristics and job satisfaction of dental assistants (n = 1097), which showed that the relationship with the supervisor is the crucial influencing factor. In order to illustrate and validate these results using a specific example and to derive practical design measures, data was generated during a one-week field visit to a dental practice using an ethnographic approach. The results show that, above all, consistent management behavior, timely information transfer and transparency, reduction of stress and social support (appreciation, error and feedback culture) are relevant for a work design that promotes job satisfaction. These findings can sensitize dental professionals to the importance of leadership behaviour and competencies and provide concrete indications of where dental practices – as well as medical practices in general – can start in the future.
