Reagieren auf Michel Foucault: Entschwinden und Dableiben. Walter Seitter im Gespräch
摘要
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the death of Michel Foucault (1926–1984), Walter Seitter talks with Christoph T. Burmeister and Heike Delitz about his personal experiences with Foucault and other Parisian intellectuals, including Raymond Aron, Louis Althusser and Jacques Lacan; about his translations of Michel Foucault’s works (Die Geburt der Klinik 1973 [The birth of the clinic], Die Ordnung des Diskurses 1974 [The order of discourse], Überwachen und Strafen 1976 [Discipline and punish], Sexualität und Wahrheit 1. Der Wille zum Wissen 1983 [The history of sexuality 1: The will to knowledge] and many others); on Foucault’s theoretical links with, for example, Karl Marx, Friedrich Nietzsche and Jacques Lacan, Pierre Klossowski and Georges Bataille; on the journal “Tumult. Zeitschrift für Verkehrswissenschaft” [Tumult. Journal of traffic science], and on the works that Walter Seitter himself has published and is currently working on—following Foucault, but also developing completely different themes and his own concepts.
