Auf der Suche nach Grünwald und Grunewald: Zu einer Soziologie der Räume des Reichtums

So far, sociologists in Germany have largely ignored the neighborhoods of the rich and privileged. Based on a critical analysis of recent international contributions, this article offers an invitation to study the spaces at the upper end of the class structure in Germany. In particular, the article suggests three productive avenues for a sociological study of affluent neighborhoods: an ethnographic perspective, a historical perspective, and a relational perspective.
