On the effect of an acoustic pulse on a gas microbubble described by a rational extended thermodynamics model

The dynamics of microbubbles immersed in a liquid and subjected to ultrasound pulses are studied even in the presence of a shell, using models derived from rational extended thermodynamics. The behavior of the bubble and the scattering pressure are analyzed through numerical techniques. This highlights the effects of the physical parameters involved, while the predictions and the range of validity of different mathematical models are compared.
