<p>The scattering properties of kinetic boundary conditions for the Boltzmann equation recently proposed by Aoki <i>et al.</i> [see, e.g., Phys.&#xa0;Rev.&#xa0;E <b>106</b>, 035306 (2022)] are investigated. Scattering patterns of reflected molecules are obtained for molecular-beam and Maxwellian incident distributions, and representative numerical results are presented.</p>

The scattering properties of kinetic boundary conditions for the Boltzmann equation recently proposed by Aoki et al. [see, e.g., Phys. Rev. E 106, 035306 (2022)] are investigated. Scattering patterns of reflected molecules are obtained for molecular-beam and Maxwellian incident distributions, and representative numerical results are presented.
