Efficient synthesis of cobalt tungstate/ZIF-67 nanocomposites for enhanced energy storage application

摘要

Efficient energy storage systems are crucial for modern engineering and the advancement of renewable energy. This work demonstrates a facile synthesis for producing CoWO4@ZIF-67 nanocomposites to enhance energy storage capabilities. The synthesis process is economically efficient making it appropriate for real-time use. The nanocomposites that were obtained were investigated using XRD, SEM, and TEM imaging studies. The findings demonstrated enhanced capacitance of 1240 F/g at 1 A/g for nanocomposites due to the synergistic interactions between CoWO4 and ZIF-67. The nanocomposites also exhibited long-term cycle stability of 5000 cycles showing 92% capacitance retention. The results indicate that CoWO4/ZIF-67 nanocomposites have potential as electrode materials for energy storage devices with excellent performance, therefore making a valuable contribution to sustainable energy solutions.
