Species diversity of Amanita in Shanxi Province with five new species revealed by morphological and molecular evidence
摘要
This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the species diversity of the genus Amanita in Shanxi Province, North China. Through a combination of morphological and molecular approaches, we have identified 23 species, including five new species described in this paper. Our research involved a systematic collection of Amanita specimens across various ecological zones in Shanxi, followed by detailed morphological examinations and DNA sequencing of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region, large subunit (nrLSU) of ribosomal RNA genes, the second largest subunit of RNA polymerase II (RPB2), and translation elongation factor 1-α (TEF1-α). The newly described species, A. citrinoides (中华橙黄鹅膏), A. flavovaginata (黄托柄鹅膏), A. orienticeciliae (东方圈托鹅膏), A. sinostrobiliformis (中华松果鹅膏), and A. striata (条纹鹅膏), exhibit unique morphological and genetic characteristics that distinguish them from other known species. The findings expand the knowledge of the species diversity of Amanita in Shanxi Province.
