<p>The work is devoted to revealing the species diversity of the genus <i>Xanthagaricus</i> in Vietnam. In the current paper, <i>X. dodssangeri</i> and <i>X. vongii</i> are introduced as new species, and two known species, viz<i>. X. ianthinus</i> and <i>X. necopinatus</i>, are registered in Central and Southern Vietnam. <i>Xanthagaricus dodssangeri</i>&#xa0;demonstrates morphological variability, having a light violet or light brown pileus covered with granular squamules; greyish blue or light brown ventricose lamellae, smooth basidiospores bluish grey in 5% KOH; subovoid cheilocystidia. <i>Xanthagaricus vongii</i>&#xa0;is recognized by medium-sized basidiomata clustered in groups, a glabrous pileus with green stains, smooth basidiospores and large narrow-clavate basidia. The study is provided with morphological descriptions, line drawings, photographs, comparisons with morphologically similar taxa, includes a phylogenetic analysis based on nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacer (nrITS) region and large subunit ribosomal RNA gene (nrLSU).</p>

Two new species and two new records of Xanthagaricus (Agaricaceae, Agaricales) from Central and Southern Vietnam
