摘要

Background

Community readiness assessment (CRA) is a tool for systematically assessing a community’s readiness for implementing health promotion measures. This study conducted a CRA as part of the implementation of an intervention prevention network called “Präventionskette Neufreimann” in the new Munich district of Neufreimann in order to derive insights regarding the further implementation of the measure.

Methods

For the CRA, stakeholders from various fields of activity in the health, social and educational sectors in the Neufreimann district and surrounding neighbourhoods were surveyed in April and May 2025 using a standardised questionnaire. Participants were accompanied by the first author while filling out the questionnaire. The evaluation was carried out independently by two researchers.

Results

Ten stakeholders were interviewed. The average community readiness level was 4.3 out of 9. The dimensions “Knowledge of efforts” (3.0) and “Knowledge of the issue” (3.1) showed a “Vague awareness.” In contrast, “Leadership” was more pronounced at 6.7.

Conclusion

The CRA provided insights on areas requiring action for the intervention. It revealed a strong commitment on the part of the stakeholders, but also a need for action regarding the knowledge dimension. The results can be used to guide the next phase of the intervention. It also provides insights for future applications of the methodology in German-speaking countries.
