摘要

Background

Municipal health conferences provide an opportunity to implement health promotion in accordance with the Health in All Policies approach. These conferences bring together actors from multiple sectors with a common local focus to exchange ideas on a specific topic and to shape change processes toward a healthier community. The City Health Conference in Frankfurt am Main has been planned and conducted by the GUT GEHT’S team (Doing well team) of the Public Health Department since 2018.

Objective

We aimed to find out which impact the Frankfurt am Main 2024 city health conference has at the stakeholder level and how the achievement of the stakeholders‘ goals can be methodically measured.

Methods

Health-related actors participating in the Frankfurt am Main City Health Conference 2024, themed “GUT GEHT’S – Together Satisfied and Healthy,” were asked to formulate up to three individual goals they aimed to implement within their sphere of influence over the next three months. After three months, participants were surveyed regarding the status of their goals. The data were analyzed descriptively.

Results

In the initial survey, 138 goals were formulated: 32% related to “information dissemination,” 37% to “networking,” and 29% to “initiating change.” In the follow-up survey, data were provided for 65 goals, of which 58% had been implemented. For 78% of the goals not yet realized, work was ongoing.

Conclusion

Municipal health conferences are an effective tool for disseminating information, facilitating exchange, and initiating change. The achievement of the self-set goals of the involved stakeholders can be measured.
