Erlebnistherapie in der Gesundheitsförderung
摘要
Adventure therapy is considered an action-oriented, experience-based therapeutic method with growing relevance for psychosocial care—especially in the context of preventive and cross-sectoral settings. However, its institutional anchoring in German-speaking countries remains fragmented.
ObjectiveThe aim of this scoping review is to systematically map the thematic spectrum of experiential therapy interventions. The focus is on the question of which target groups are addressed, which topics are dealt with and which disciplinary references are made.
MethodsBased on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) checklist, 5005 publications from 12 databases were identified. After applying defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, 802 articles remained, which were evaluated using qualitative content analysis and grouped thematically.
ResultsThe results show a thematic consolidation into six domains, including disorder-specific interventions, preventive objectives, and profession-related discourses. The target groups most frequently addressed are children and adolescents in vulnerable situations. Conceptual overlaps with health-related care objectives can be identified, particularly in terms of salutogenic and resource-oriented approaches.
ConclusionAdventure therapy can be understood as a potentially compatible intervention format within prevention policy strategies. Nevertheless, challenges remain with regard to standardization, outcome validation and profession-specific qualification profiles. The review contributes to the theoretical and empirical foundation of adventure therapy methods in the context of healthcare.
