Gesundheitsförderung für Beschäftigte 50plus – Ergebnisse der lidA-Studie 2022/23
摘要
Older employees constitute a specific target group for workplace health promotion (WHP). The research landscape regarding the prevalence of WHP initiatives in Germany is considered heterogeneous and challenging to assess. This study investigates the extent to which older employees are offered WHP interventions.
MethodsWithin the representative lidA cohort study, survey data from 7514 employees (born in 1959, 1965, or 1971) were analyzed. WHP provision rates, including 95% confidence intervals, were examined based on personal, occupational, and organizational factors. Multiple logistic regression analyses were employed to assess the influence of these factors on the chance of WHP provision.
ResultsWomen, people over 60, those with direct migration experience, and those in poor health receive WHP offers less frequently than others. Similarly, employees in lower-ranking occupations, physically active jobs, part-time positions, and roles in trade, gastronomy, transport, security, and cleaning sectors are less likely to receive WHP offers. Conversely, employees in larger organizations and those with additional preventive health structures in place have higher chances of receiving WHP offers.
ConclusionEmployees facing social and health disadvantages tend to have significantly lower chances of receiving WHP offers. This highlights the need for improvements to avoid increasing health inequalities. Moreover, strategies should be considered to provide WHP offerings to employees facing barriers due to job-related characteristics.
