Entwicklung eines Curriculums zur Förderung einer gesunden Ernährungsweise in Grundschulen
摘要
Nutrition-related health literacy is an important measure to reduce sugar consumption and prevent obesity, tooth decay, and secondary diseases in children. A curriculum for primary school was therefore developed with this aim.
ObjectiveWe present the development and pilot evaluation of a model project to promote nutrition-related health literacy in the elementary school setting.
Materials and methodsTo influence the children’s behavior, a modular curriculum was created in a participatory manner with teachers, to be used as part of the regular school curriculum between the 2nd and 4th grades. With regard to changing the conditions, measures were initiated with focus on school development.
ResultsThe results of the first pilot phase show that the curriculum has proven relevant and applicable for use in the primary school setting. Furthermore, the combination of behavioral and structural measures promotes awareness of healthy nutrition.
ConclusionIn order to realize a citywide transfer of the practice project, an extension of the pilot project to other primary schools with different pupil target groups is necessary.
