<p>Potato is a key vegetable that dominates many corners of India as a staple crop and attracts the couch consumers through different value-added products. However, there are great anomalies, and differences are there across the country in potato production to marketing. So, the present study is an attempt to learn and relearn the journey of potatoes from four completely different states, viz., Gujarat, Bihar, Sikkim and Odisha of the country through many research papers, reports and supportive documents. In the end, it is highlighted that infrastructural strengthening, value creation, value chain analysis and effective linkages are necessary to support this sector from any kind of volatility and fluctuations.</p>
