<p>Virtual Reality (VR) has emerged as a promising tool in education, offering immersive, interactive experiences through computer-generated simulations. Scholars have identified several unique affordances of VR, including situational immersion and experiential learning, and existing research has found that VR can benefit learning outcomes. However, most previous studies have focused on university-level learners, relied on small sample sizes, and consisted of one-time interventions, resulting in limited research conducted in K-12 settings. Moreover, there is little guidance on how to effectively implement VR technology in K-12 environments. This report addresses this gap by documenting a large-scale VR implementation across a dozen K-12 schools in Illinois, California, and Texas. We outline key steps, challenges, and lessons learned during the deployment of 500 Meta Quest 2 headsets and provide actionable recommendations for schools, administrators, and researchers interested in adopting VR. Although the challenges were substantial in this large-scale context, the positive experiences reported here provide reasons for continuing to integrate VR into classroom learning.</p>
