<p>This article compiles Prof. Takashi Inoguchi’s main works, especially those focused on the quality of life in Asian societies from the cultural, political, and human perspectives. It seeks to review and value the theoretical, methodological, and empirical contributions of his scientific work to approach and understand the Asian world. Inoguchi’s books develop the nature of Asian societies in comparison to the rest of the world, under the focus of quality of life. Likewise, he explores new approaches to the international relations based on the enormous empirical evidence of the signing of multilateral treaties and the result of what he calls a global quasi-legislative policy. He highlights the use of very precise methodology that processes an enormous amount of data. Inoguchi’s scientific work is a contribution to the understanding of Asian society and the construction of a theory for global coexistence. Moreover, addresses the problems of global citizenship, sovereign states in the era of digitalization and multilateral treaties as an empirical expression of what is defined as global quasi-legislative politics, all from a multidisciplinary perspective that enriches the results. His work is crossed by knowledge of philosophy, history, and Eastern thought, which leaves a qualitative distinction to his proposal. The confluence of powerful philosophical and spiritual currents is for Inoguchi a complex skein that is worth unraveling with the aim of studying the motivations, values, and behaviors of Asian and global citizens. Most of his books use the Asian Barometer Survey, which is a powerful and versatile source of data on Asian societies.</p>
