<p>Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) presents significant clinical challenges, with limited pharmacological options. This mixed-methods study examined cannabis use among 116 Canadian adults with FASD via survey and focus groups/interviews. Overall, 93.3% of men versus 73.2% of women were current users, with nearly half consuming cannabis more than three times daily. Participants primarily used cannabis to manage sleeplessness (73%) and pain (62%) but reported adverse effects including withdrawal symptoms, memory impairment, and increased appetite. Qualitative findings supported the survey results, highlighting personalized cannabis routines and the influence of specific strains on FASD symptoms. Respondents also noted a lack of guidance from medical practitioners and treatment centres following legalization. These results reveal a complex relationship between cannabis and FASD symptoms and underscore the need for trauma- and FASD-informed approaches to addiction treatment and symptom management.</p>
