<p>There is limited evidence on the effects of Matrix Model Treatment (MMT) on relapse rates and mental health outcomes in individuals with methamphetamine hydrochloride use disorder (MHUD). This study aims to assess the prevalence of depression and evaluate the impact of MMT on relapse rates among individuals with MHUD in a rural population. This retrospective study enrolled 962 patients with MHUD. The prevalence of depression was 5.93% (95% CI = 4.43–7.42). A comparison between treatment completion and depression status revealed no statistically significant association (p = 0.280). Relapse rates following MMT were also similar between the two groups, with 5.08% of the mild depression group and 94.92% of the normal depression group experiencing relapse (p = 0.571). This study suggests that depression prevalence is low. Additionally, the MMT did not significantly affect relapse rates or treatment completion when comparing individuals with mild depression to those with normal depression levels.</p>
