摘要

The surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor was proposed by using MXene-mediated heterostructure (BP-MXene-BP) for the detection of SARS-CoV-2. Analysing the performance of a heterostructure-based SPR biosensor at the optimal thickness of the Ag layer. The suggested biosensor achieves a sensitivity of 295.67°/RIU with an impressive 0.147/° detection accuracy (DA) and a 48.47/RIU figure of merit (FoM) at minimum reflectance (Rmin). Below 0.30 (a.u.), 341.46°/RIU has attained the maximal sensitivity at \(R_{\min }\) R min value. The proposed biosensor performance is evaluated against the conventional of monolayer of BP and MXene-based biosensors. Finally, it is noted that the proposed sensor has a maximal improvement in terms of sensitivity 36.5%, 21.9%, and 11.4%, against the structure-I, structure-II, and structure-III conventional biosensors. The result shows that the proposed sensor is a good biosensor for the chemical and biochemical sensing applications.
