Graphene-based Hyperbola-shaped Surface Plasmon Resonance Highly Sensitive Biosensor for Detection of Cancerous Cells

摘要

In the present work, we are identifying the highest sensitivity with low-cost materials. A multi-layered graphene hyperbola-shaped bio-sensor (MGHB) structure with a total thickness of 80 nm is proposed in this paper, comparing three types of human cancer cells known as basal (BaCC), breast (BrCC), and cervical cancerous cells (CrCC). With the variation in substrate (SiO2) height (Hs), and design (Graphene) height (Hd), the optimal structure with the highest sensitivity was 7100, 1357.14, and 1500 nm/RIU for basal, breast, and cervical cell cancer, respectively. The relevant figure of merit (FOM) for basal, breast, and cervical cell cancer are 1914.20, 1571.74, and 1840.19, respectively, whereas the quality factor (Q) are 10543.67, 1129.22, and 1315.05. The lowest transmission of 0.99% and the strongest reflection of 99% are observed in height variation. The designed sensor can detect cancer cells effectively, fast and can be used in biomedical devices.
