<p>Women with diabetes mellitus have an increased risk for perioperative complications in gynecological and obstetric surgeries. Key factors include hyperglycemia, micro- and macrovascular changes, impaired wound healing, and comorbidities such as obesity, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. This article reviews the most common gynecological and obstetric procedures, the most important diabetes-associated complications, relevant perioperative measures, and prevention strategies.</p>
