Praktische Nutzung von künstlicher Intelligenz in der Diabetologie
摘要
Artificial intelligence (AI) applications are growing rapidly in medicine and especially in diabetology. It is used in everyday software solutions for speech and text recognition, in insulin delivery algorithms and in the first digital health applications (DiGA), but also increasingly in the evaluation of large amounts of data as part of research projects for the prediction and prevention of type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The method of digital twins could contribute to personalized and better medical research and treatment in the future. At the beginning of 2024, the European Union adopted the Artificial Intelligence Act, the world’s first law regulating AI applications, which will influence existing and future developments.
