摘要

Pre-existing type 1 diabetes is present in almost one in 100 pregnancies. Compared to women without type 1 diabetes, this results in increased complication rates and increased perinatal morbidity and mortality for mother and child. The main reason for this is inadequate or non-existent pregnancy planning. Good preconception care and metabolic control can significantly reduce these risks. During pregnancy, the focus is not only on optimizing blood glucose levels to prevent diabetic embryopathy and fetopathy, but also on weight development and the management of concomitant and secondary diseases. Technological aids such as hybrid closed-loop systems in particular can significantly improve metabolic control. Multidisciplinary care and individualized therapy are necessary.
