Zufällig festgestellte (asymptomatische) Hyperlipasämie – klinische Relevanz und weiterführende Diagnostik
摘要
Hyperlipasemia refers to elevated lipase levels in serum and is a common diagnostic criterion, especially for the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis. However, elevated lipase levels can also be associated with a variety of other conditions and also can be unspecifically elevated, necessitating a differentiated diagnostic approach. While patients with abdominal complaints frequently undergo extensive diagnostic evaluations, which, however, do also not always reveal pancreatic disease, asymptomatic hyperlipasemia presents a significant diagnostic challenge. This article explores the clinical significance of these incidental findings and suggests a structured approach for further diagnostic assessment in an area with little clinical evidence.
