Objective <p>To improve the walking speed and self-care ability of patients with Parkinson’s disease through exercise intervention, so as to prevent falls and improve the quality of life of patients.</p> Methods <p>A total of 43 patients with Parkinson’s disease admitted to the First Department of Neurology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from June 2022 to mid-December 2023 were selected and divided into a control group (21 cases) and an intervention group (22 cases) by random number table method. The control group was given routine care. On the basis of routine nursing, the intervention group was given exercise intervention such as Parkinson’s health exercise, zebra crossing cross-line exercise, 30-min poker, and face-to-face strengthening movement and posture exercise. The walking time and self-care ability of patients in the two groups were compared.</p> Results <p>After exercise intervention, the 10-m walking time, Schwab &amp; England score, fall efficacy score, and PDQ-39 scale score of the intervention group were significantly different from those of the control group (<i>P</i> &lt; 0.05).</p> Conclusion <p>Exercise intervention for patients with Parkinson’s disease can improve the patients’ exercise ability, reduce the risk of falling, improve self-care ability, and improve the quality of life.</p>

Objective
