There was statistically significant difference in mean of all dimensions of kidney disease quality of life in the intervention group (P < 0.05) after physical activity, except for the areas of “Role limitation as a result of any physical problems” (P < 0.99), “Role limitation as a result of any emotional problems” (P < 0.99) and “encouragement of dialysis staff” (P < 0.13). However, no difference was observed in the control group (P < 0.05). According to the results, physical activity improves quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease. 摘要

In patients with chronic kidney disease, exercise is the best way to increase physical endurance levels and Subsequently improve quality of life. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of physical activity on the quality of life of patients referred to the hemodialysis department. The present study was quasi-experimental design and sample size was 34 hemodialysis patients of Khoy city (Iran) in 2024, who were selected by convenience sampling method and then placed in two interventional and control groups. In the intervention group, the physical activity was carried out for 30 min, 3 times a week. Inclusion criteria were age 18 to 65 years and not participating in other sports programs. Exclusion criteria include lack of follow-up to participate in physical activity sessions or withdrawal from continuing the program after two sessions or other physical problems. The demographic questionnaire and Kidney Disease Quality of Life Instrument (KDQOL-SF) were completed before and two months after the intervention by the intervention and control groups. The data was analyzed with SPSS software version 25 and using descriptive and inferential tests. Therefore, it is possible to include physical activity as a part of their daily activities of these patients.
